Scenic 30A...

30A is short for Scenic Highway 30A, a 28.5-mile corridor that dips off and back on Highway 98 and hugs the Gulf of Mexico coastline in South Walton County. This stretch of sugar-fine white beaches and clear gulf water holds a diverse wonderland: sea oat-covered dunes, live oaks draped in moss, pine forests, wetlands, marshes and the very rare coastal dune lakes. Few places lay claim to these rare coastal dune lakes, and the 30A area has more coastal dune lakes than anywhere else in the world to the delight of kayakers, paddle boarders and nature-lovers.
Walking and biking trails connect state parks, wildlife preserves and residential areas. A paved hike-bike trail spans the entire length of 30A. Riders cruise the path through several neighborhoods, beach communities and small towns. Each 30A community has its own look and feel, it's fun to just spend the day discovering the diversity of each community's exciting and eclectic mix of hot Caribbean colors and soft pastels, with architecture to match each community’s charm.

Welcome to Florida’s Emerald Coast, home to the most beautiful beaches in the world. Stretched from the quiet shores of Mexico Beach, along Panama City Beach and westward to Destin, Okaloosa Island and Navarre Beach, these spectacular waters will take your breath away.
The Emerald Coast offers a 100 mile stretch of pristine white-sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s panhandle and situated right in the middle of the Emerald Coast you will find South Walton's fabulous Scenic 30A corridor. The Scenic 30A corridor has much more to offer, there are gorgeous hidden secrets just off the beaches including beautiful coastal dune lakes, bays, bayous, springs, parks, and acres and acres of gorgeous land filled with wildlife.

While each area within the Emerald Coast may vary on what they have to offer, one thing is for certain, each community has this gorgeous beach in common and every time you look at her, you can’t help but think you are in paradise.
Whether you are here for a weekend or a lifetime, this intoxicating, historic area is a special place you will never want to leave. This is the place you build memories, one sand castle at a time.
